Abu Dhabi, 25 October 2026: United Tigers have brought Usman Tariq into the squad in place of Sufiyan Muqeem. Sufiyan is unavailable for the Abu Dhabi T10 because of the Asia Emerging Cup.
Zaffir Yasin Chowdhury, Owner
Sufiyan Muqeem is an exceptionally talented young cricketer with tremendous potential, and we were genuinely excited about the prospect of having him represent United Tigers this season. Although circumstances have prevented him from joining us, we fully respect his national commitments and wish him every success in the Asia Emerging Cup.
Representing your country is always a proud moment, and I sincerely hope Sufiyan continues to develop, perform at the highest level and make his nation proud. He has a bright future ahead of him, and I look forward to seeing him achieve greater milestones in international cricket. Our doors will always remain open for talented players like Sufiyan.
Zainab Zehra Rizvi, Managing Director
We are delighted to welcome Usman Tariq to the United Tigers family. Usman brings a unique dimension to our bowling attack with his mystery spin, exceptional variations and ability to challenge even the most experienced batters.
In a fast-paced format like T10 cricket, having a bowler who can create uncertainty and deliver breakthroughs at crucial moments is a tremendous advantage. We believe Usman’s inclusion will significantly strengthen our squad and provide greater depth and flexibility to our bowling department.
We are confident that he will play an important role in our campaign, and we look forward to seeing him showcase his talent in the United Tigers colours. Together, we are building a competitive and exciting team with the ambition to challenge for the championship.
